Job Description:
A company is looking for a Medical
Coder/Outpatient/Specialty.
Key Responsibilities
Assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures by
reviewing medical records and ensuring compliance with coding
guidelines
Ensure accurate sequencing of diagnoses and procedures for
reimbursement purposes and review coding for accuracy before
submission
Abstract medical and demographic information from records, correct
errors, and ensure all documentation meets required standards
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Minimum 2 years of Medical Coding experience required
Experience with Professional Fee Coding
Experience with EHR systems
Accepted certifications from AHIMA or AAPC, including RHIT, RHIA,
CCA, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC
