Development Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance our video

Position Summary
As a Product Development Engineer, you will oversee the design,
development, and maintenance of our video product line, ensuring
alignment with the product development lifecycle. You will manage
external engineering resources, optimize designs, and implement
innovative solutions that enhance product performance and
reliability.
Education & Experience
Bachelors or Advanced degree in an Engineering discipline or
equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience in product development engineering
projects.
Key Skills & Competencies
Product Development & Project Management: Strong knowledge of
development processes, project methodologies, and engineering
change orders.
Hardware, Software & Firmware Development: Experience designing,
developing, and integrating solutions for desktop computing and
embedded systems.
Technical Documentation & Interpretation: Ability to read and
create schematics, diagrams, source code, scripts, and SQL
queries.
Network Architecture & Connectivity: Understanding of network
protocols, connectivity, and architecture.
Operating Systems: Proficiency in Linux and Windows
environments.
Development Tools & Collaboration Platforms: Experience using the
Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
Strong Communication: Ability to develop technical documentation,
specifications, and customer-facing materials.
Problem-Solving & Task Management: Effective troubleshooting and
organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Video Engineering Manager to align engineering
efforts with company goals.
Provide technical leadership and manage internal/external
engineering resources.
Lead product testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure
high-quality releases.
Support engineering change control and special configuration
requests.
Conduct design reviews for hardware and software, offering critical
feedback.
Provide engineering support to Sales, Customer Service, and
Operations.
Assist in strategic planning for product innovation and process
improvement.
Represent Video Engineering in Product Readiness Reviews before
market launch.
Travel as needed within the United States and occasionally
internationally.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Office-based role with occasional travel.
Ability to lift/move up to 60 lbs with appropriate assistance.
May require evening or weekend work based on project needs.
