Job Description:
A company is looking for a Pharmacist - Prior Authorization -
Remote.
Key Responsibilities
Perform clinical review of prior authorization requests and apply
clinical criteria to make coverage determinations
Develop programs to enhance pharmacy care and participate in
dispute resolution regarding drug utilization
Act as a subject matter expert on clinical pharmacy issues and
educate providers and staff on pharmaceutical treatment
regimens
Required Qualifications
Pharm.D or RPh degree
Active pharmacist license in the state of residence
Experience in prior authorization processes outside of a retail
setting
Strong clinical and technical knowledge base
Independent problem-solving skills
