Job Description:
A company is looking for a Physician Services Coding Specialist
II - Remote.
Key Responsibilities
Assign ICD-9, CPT-4 & HCPC codes from documentation and apply
appropriate modifiers
Problem-solve claim edits and support the denial process as
requested
Maintain coding quality accuracy rate of 95.5% and mentor new
employees
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School Diploma/GED with vocational or technical education
beyond high school
Minimum of 3 years coding experience in a relevant specialty
AHIMA Credentials and/or AAPC certification required; AAPC
Specialty certifications preferred
Knowledge of third-party reimbursement regulations and billing
practices
Moderate knowledge of CCI edits and LCDs applicable to coding
situations
