Job Description:
A company is looking for a Patient Advocate Specialist to assist
patients in resolving account balances for medical services.
Key Responsibilities
Screen patients for eligibility of state and federal assistance
programs
Assist patients with applications for appropriate assistance
programs and provide guidance throughout the process
Maintain accurate documentation of patient accounts and follow up
on applications until resolution
Required Qualifications and Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
Experience with medical coding or billing is preferred
Proficient PC knowledge with typing speed of 30-40 wpm
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
effectively
